"That's right, Shakespeare's lovers are in their Golden Years. And with today's economic climate, wouldn't you know they're dependent on their dot-com millionaire yuppie shithead grandkids for the dentures upon which they suck. But love has a timeless beauty, and besides, you're never too old to die young! Complete with rousing musical numbers and bucksome bombshells, Romeo & Juliatric uses both Big Bill's language and Cherry Red's own smutty speak to satirize America's attitudes towards seniors and the theatre community's lame recent rush to reinterpret all of Shakespeare's plays."

The play will be adapted and directed by Anton Dudley, who is currently in a masters program for playwriting at NYU, and who co-directed Hair for Studio Theatre's SecondStage (which won Helen Hayes awards for Outstanding Direction and Resident Musical in 1998). Rusty Clauss (Juliet) and Phil Sawicki (Romeo) will star as the doomed duo.
