A lot can happen in a bathroom. And Cherry Red is just the theater company to prove it, with 15 teenie-weenie plays set in the john, the head, the can, the pot, the pisser, the shitter, the holiest of holies, the euphemism, or, whatever you want to call it: the bathroom.
For Dingleberries, Cherry Red corraled the talent of a slew of local playwrights, as well as the rawest-of-the-raw punk writers from New York, L.A., and Chicago. Included were tiny atrocities from favorite writers of Cherry Red past: Anton Dudley (Spamlet),Justin Tanner (Zombie Attack!), Jeff Goode (Poona the Fuckdog and Other Plays for Children), and Billy Bermingham (Cannibal Cheerleaders on Crack).
Brian Smith, who last toiled with tidbits on Day-Old Plays and Seven Deadly Dwarves, directed the cluster of little treasures. Cast featured Eric Faulkner, Tony Greenberg, Monique LaForce, Glee Murray, Karen Novack, Sarah Painter, Kevin Price and Richard Renfield.
