What's not to get pissed about?!

Nov 6, 2003-Jan 9, 2004
directed by Michelle T. Hall
at Source Theater
1835 14th St., NW

Does anyone believe in God ...really? Do we get a last meal after death row? How did God think to call himself "God"? Why do Arab chicks wear all those tarps? Does anyone understand why homosexuals are homosexual? Is it wrong to love Satan? Is it wrong to love Santa? Is it wrong to want to fuck the pope? And what is up with Carol-Ann, anyway?!!!
Anger Box, a collection of monologues by Jeff Goode, takes a fucked-up, funny look at the Big Question -- you know, the God Question -- and the bizarre conclusions people sometimes draw.
L.A.-based playwright Goode is best-known for his The Eight: Reindeer Monologues, a darkly-comic tale of rape and retardation, set in Santa's workshop. The Eight, which has gone on to become a warped Christmas classic, has been staged in every major U.S. city, including Source Theatre's 1994 production directed by Joe Banno. More recently, Goode's send-up of kiddie theater, Poona the Fuckdog and Other Plays for Children, overcame its naughty title to receive ten mountings (heh-heh, "mountings") nationwide, including Cherry Red's hit production in 2001.
The cast featured Kathleen Akerley, Ian Allen, Kate Debelack, Tony Greenberg, Monique LaForce, Jason Milner, Jenny Morris, Glee Murray, Otis Cortez, and Yan Xi.
